Dear Families,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to South Eugene High School! Our school community is rooted in the quality and commitment of our staff, but thrives on the excellence of our current and incoming students. Below, you will find information about parent events and classroom forecasting that may be helpful in your planning.

  • At South we are committed to providing a seamless transition from middle school to high school, where students feel both excited and prepared to begin their journey with us. We will be having our Incoming 9th Grade Parent Information Night on TuesdayMarch 30th from 7:00 pm- 8:00pm. Our administrators, 9th grade counselor, and 9th grade Transition Coordinator will look forward to sharing information and going through the course selection (forecasting) process coming up in April. If you are unable to join, this presentation will be recorded for future viewing. To access this webinar please use this link:

·      Soon afterward the SEHS scheduling team will visit feeder middle schools to meet with incoming 9th grade students. Visit dates are scheduled at Roosevelt Middle School April 6th & 8th and at Spencer Butte Middle School on April 7th & 9th. At that time students will complete the forecasting (course request) process.

·      For students in the South Eugene attendance area who are not attending Roosevelt or Spencer Butte middle schools, you may access the enrollment packet on the SEHS website starting on March 1st. You may contact the registrar’s office at 541-790-8015 with any questions about enrollment. Hard copy packets may be picked up or dropped off at the regular SEHS distribution days, 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 1 – 4 pm.

·      Non-feeder registration and forecasting will begin May17th; you can access forecasting information on the SEHS website as well. If you have completed all of your enrollment paperwork, you may start selecting classes at this time. Not to worry, scheduling does NOT work on a first come, first served basis, so students from nonfeeder middle schools will not be at a disadvantage with this delay.

We are excited to assist you in planning for your transition into South Eugene High School!
